Your source for nourishment, inspiration, and joy

I met Danielle and Whitney when they first started Sakara Life, and I knew immediately that it was going to be a hit. Why? Because in addition to being brilliant businesswomen and dedicated entrepreneurs, Danielle and Whitney could closely relate to something so common among women who would benefit from their service: hormonal symptoms. And not only could they relate, but they could offer a solution.

Of course, I can relate too. Just as Danielle and Whitney have been candid about their weight fluctuations, skin issues, and more, I’ve been an open book about my tumultuous path to finding hormonal balance through food. And although it took time, commitment, and a willingness to explore alternative routes to healing, I successfully cured my “incurable” case of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) through nutrition, effectively shedding the excess weight, cystic acne, and other unbearable hormonal symptoms I’d suffered through.

So, is it possible to heal your hormonal symptoms with food? One hundred percent, yes.

This is the part where many women tell me they tried various methods—raspberry leaf tea, organic juice cleanses, buckets of kale—and they haven’t found relief, nor do they believe one magic food can actually shrink their cysts or ease the pain of their endometriosis.

And they’re right. Standing alone, raspberry leaf tea is probably not enough, and there is no one magic food.

But I have a news flash for you: When it comes to healing your hormonal symptoms through food (which is totally possible, by the way) it’s not about spot-treating your cyst or cramps or low libido or fill-in-your-complaint-here by eating a magical substance that will make it go away.

On the contrary, it’s about looking at how EVERYTHING you eat is affecting your delicate hormonal system.

More specifically, there are three underlying causes of most hormonal imbalances that I want every woman to be aware of:

  • Mismanaged blood sugar. If you’ve ever craved sugar or carbs throughout the day, needed a nap after meals, or experienced an afternoon dip in energy, then you’ve seen some of the signs that your blood sugar needs help!
  • Burnt out adrenal glands. Do you constantly feel stressed out, have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, or rely on caffeine to keep you going? Chances are you’ve been putting your adrenal glands into overdrive, which will wreak havoc on the rest of your hormonal system.
  • Slow detoxification and elimination. Are your bowel movements irregular or slow to move? Do you go less than twice a day or have acne, eczema, or rosacea?  If so, your liver, which is responsible for breaking down excess hormones in the bloodstream, as well as your digestive system, which eliminates those hormones from the body, could use a bit of support. If they aren’t working properly, those hormones will continue circulating in your bloodstream and contribute to the symptoms you’re experiencing!

Whether one, two, or all three of these underlying factors are contributing to your hormonal imbalance, there is good news—you can absolutely heal yourself back to health through food. And I can show you how!

Ordering hormone-balancing, nutritious meals from Sakara will be an amazing first step in the right direction. And if you’re craving more direction, my WomanCode System can help you really get to the bottom of your unique hormonal situation and learn how to break through the energetic and emotional barriers that might also be contributing to your symptoms.

Empowerment starts with education. Learn about how your body works before you start feeding it random potions hoping for a magical solution.
