First thing in the am (and not to forget, all throughout the day!) we like to show our bodies an extra boost of care by mixing up this quick + easy metabolism revving elixir. It's especially useful for fall, as our bodies naturally transition from stifling heat, to a windy chill, and our metabolism isn't always sure when to speed up, or when to slow down. This cup of alkalization helps to balance things out, and keep the body revving at optimal speed, no matter the weather.
- 2 cups water
- juice of 1/2 organic apple
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric
- a generous pinch black peppercorn
- 1 tsp fresh ground ginger
Squeeze, shake, stir, and enjoy!
