S-Life Mag

Your source for nourishment, inspiration, and joy

The full-throttle energy—bright, positive, and derived from the sun—is referred to in traditional Chinese philosophy as yang. To create internal balance and a steady rhythm, turn to food as the foundation for all that’s grounded, nourishing, and medicinal…the yin if you will.

Enter, this magic bowl: a healing menagerie of plants, ready to honor the duality within each of us. Macrobowls are intrinsically flexible, so think of this recipe as a guide, not a rule. Stroll through the farmer’s market, find what lights you up at the moment and let it inspire your own custom creation.

The only non-negotiable? The gut-loving kraut or kimchi. The microbiome, filled with 38 trillion living organisms, make up 50 percent of your cells. Foster balance with your better half with (delicious!) living cultures that support the system responsible for everything from your sleep to your sex drive, your energy, body composition, appetite, and beyond.
